The
Saber, originally inspired by some of our Hawaiian riders, when you’re feeling
less than comfortable on your shortbard and need a board that will get you into
to position on those critical late drops . This design
having less volume than some, especially in the nose, reduces wet surface area
for getting down the face, and out of the air mail zone… The Saber
also utilizes the wave’s energy for speed using a single concave bottom and a
little spiral V. For some breaks it’s more about control of energy then the
generation of energy. The Saber, with its natural more continues rocker, and a
more full curved template, lends its self to more freedom of movement on a
larger face than some designs. Usually ordered 4 inches longer than your
shortboard, but can extend up to 6'11" depending on the needs of one’s quiver or
the demands of a particular break.
